In online roulette not all the stakes are revealed on the table layout. These bets have been nick-named as call bets as you need to summon a croupier or an attendant to position the bet. Since these bets were initially offered at French Casinos, French terminology is still used in the game.

Red and Black splits cover red and black numbers respectively. Red numbers emerge one below another on the standard roulette layout. There are four such groups, i.e. 9 and 12, 16 and 19, 18 and 21 and 27 and 30. One chip is positioned on each of the groups totaling four chips in all for the stake.
Black numbers emerge alongside or one below another on the regular roulette layout. There are seven such groups, i.e. 8 and 11, 10 and 11, 10 and 13, 17 and 20, 26 and 29, 28 and 29 and 28 and 31. One chip is positioned on each of the groups totaling seven chips in all for the stake.

‘Call bet’ payouts are based on stakes placed on individual chips. For example, a chip positioned on a trio of numbers will payout 11 to 1, a chip positioned on split numbers will payout 17 to 1, and a chip positioned on a single number will payout 35 to 1.
